I transcribe my newspaper articles in Word or WordPerfect. When I paste the text of the article into my citation details, in Word the apostrophe turns into and = sign, in WordPerfect, it turns into an up and down line that looks like this: | but heavier. I'm using TimesRoman when I transcribe, which should translate just fine into Arial, shouldn't it?

Thanks!
Linda

When copying and pasting from a word processor such as Word or WordPerfect be sure to save the file as a .txt file before copying and pasting. This makes sure any formatting codes are removed. This may be why you are getting the results you are getting.
