Wish list:

I would like to be able to follow one ancestry line in a special report.

I have surnames that appear on both my paternal, and maternal family ancestry. If there were a way of viewing say the PATERNAL ancestors; or the MATERNAL ancestors in a report -- I may be able to trace any connection that may exist between to two.

As it is, I have over 60,000 individuals, and the "shot-gun" approach to the ancestor report leaves a lot to be explained -- it is very confusing.

I guess I don't know what you are wishing for.

If you want only a person's maternal ancestors, why not do an ancestor report for their mother.

And a paternal anestor report would then be the ancestors of their father.

It isn't available in a report yet, but you could collor the father and all of his ancestors blue and the mother and all of her ancestors red. When going up the pedigree view, the two colors will run together again where the lines converge.
