I am just getting started tracing my family back and of course like many beginners I have collected tons of data and use the software to keep it as current as possible. In the beginning printing reports was easy but now that my numbers have grown I am having issues with the types of reports I would like to print (mainly for sharing). What I would like to do is generate a report starting with the oldest member of any family and work the way down. I have not come up with a fool proof method of figuring out to determine who the oldest of any family is without sorting by dates, selecting the earliest ones and hope that person is the beginning of the chain and not just the spouse of someone else. Does any of this make sense and if so does anyone have a suggestion that would help me?
