In Organizer when I'm typing short phrases to be used for my story, is all that text saved immediately (as in RootsMagic)? What about Composer? I've noticed that if I click Save, it takes me out of the story editor, so I don't want to have to do that very often.
P.S. I'm a longtime user of RootsMagic and Family Origins. I just started using Personal Historian when I saw the special price was extended, and I love it. I've been trying for several years to write some things about myself and my relatives that I can give to my children and grandchildren. This program is SO good for people who don't know how to organize their thoughts and write something people will enjoy reading. I'm a retired software technical writer, so I know how to organize thoughts into a cohesive output for writing instructions. But Personal Historian makes it easier even for us writers. And the Life Capsules are pure genius.
That's even better, Tom. Sometimes I want to refer to the Help file when I'm doing something in RootsMagic that I don't usually do. Much easier than having to get out of a dialog box or whatever to view help. Thanks for the tip.
I’m wondering if I’m missing something or if someone has a solution. I’m trying to refer to the Help file while working with the FamilySearch features. Although I’ve been using RootsMagic for years (and Family Origins before that), I’ve never tried to match people in my db to FamilySearch Family Tree people. While doing that, I need to refer to the Help file.
However, I can’t navigate the Help file while I’m using RootsMagic. I can’t even close it; it just hangs. I started to copy the Help file to my word processor so I could have a copy to refer to, but it’s taking a LONG time to get it the way I want it.
Next I tried opening two copies of RootsMagic and using the Help file for one copy while I worked on the matches in the other copy. Same problem.
Is there any way to get a digital copy of the Help file or some workaround I haven’t thought of?
