In Topic: Multiple Source Titles

Source Type: Local Records, File Items

Most Indexes in Court Houses are in books, that is why I choose Source Type: Court Records Book local

Ok, but how do you interpret Case label and Item of Interest looks more Lawyerish also Glenn could choose Civil Vital Records, Marriage Record Bound Volume, and Town Records, or any one of the Vital Records Source Types

I personally like my guess of first choice "Local Records, File Items". Civil Vital records is also good if you have the date of issue for "Certificate Date" and Marriage Record Bound Volume and Town Records are more bland and not very descriptive in its footnote. I didn't experiment with any of the Vital Record types so i can't give you any opion on those.

In Topic: Multiple Source Titles

I don’t recall ever seeing Ancestry results giving three Source Titles.
Master Source: Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941
I copied/pasted the information below in two passes. I haven't yet created a more permanent master source. So my footnote is blank and the bibliography states <blank source>. The information listed under the first pass is currently in the source comments.

First pass
Source Citation: Title: Marion County, Indiana, Index to Supplemental Record Marriage Transcript 1, W. P. A. Original Record Located: County Clerk's O; Book: 9;Page: 225.

Source Information:
Ancestry.com. Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2005.
Original data:

•Works Progress Administration, comp. Index to Marriage Records Indiana: Indiana Works Progress Administration, 1938-1940.

•Jordan Dodd, Liahona Research, comp. Electronic transcription of marriage records held by the individual counties in Indiana. Many of these records are on microfilm at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Q: When I create a “real” source, where do I put these two elements (Source Citation: and Source Information:)?

Second pass
Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941
about Elizabeth Bisig
Name: Elizabeth Bisig
[Elizabeth J]

Marriage Date: 12 Dec 1906
Marriage County: Marion
Estimated birth year: 1879
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Father Name: Andrew
Mother Name: Meng
Source Title 1: Marion County, Indiana
Source Title 2: Index to Supplemental Record Marriage Transcript 1
Source Title 3: W. P. A. Original Record Located: County Clerk's O
Book: 9
OS Page: 225

In the same index at Ancestry, immediately above the index reference to Book 9, I found the index to Elizabeth and her spouse. The differences were:
Spouse Name: Gustav Neerman (added)
Birth date (hers) 3 Feb 1880
Source Title 1: Marion County, Indiana
Source Title 2: Index to Marriage Record 1906 - 1910 Inclusive Vol
Source Title 3: Original Record Located: County Clerk's Office Ind
Book: 43
OS Page: 704

Q: When I cite the source for Elizabeth, what do I do with the three Source Titles?
How do I apply the differences between the second source titles and the third source titles?

Thanks much,
Glenn

Glen
