Sounds like the option to memorize the source & citation, though cumbersome, is my best option at this point. Thank you for this suggestion!

Not familiar with SQLite, can you explain this or refer me to a video or site to learn? That may be of great benefit down the line as I use the "swap" feature quite often when proving or disproving information.

In that learning curve mode at this time, missing some features of Legacy, but love many features found in RootsWeb!!

Thank you very much Tom

Thanks Tom, but the problem is multiple sources on each name.

If corrected the way recommended, the wrong sources will be attached to the incorrect name.

Any other suggestions?

Legacy has an easy fix, there is an option to switch any name, or date; alternate to primary. I have not been able to find this feature yet in RootsMagic.

Is it possible to "swap" an alternate name with the primary name?

Example:

Maiden name on marriage record was shown as Mary RINE.

Other sources, her death record and children's birth records show her name as Mary RYAN

I recorded this individual under then name of Mary RINE, but now wish to change to Mary RYAN and use the variation Mary RINE as the alternate name.

Any suggestions on an easy way to accomplish this?

I am a newby to RootsMagic, recently switching from Legacy.  In that program it was an easy option to switch between different names as to which would be the primary.  Really enjoy learning this program, and find many wonderful features, some quite better than I'd had before; but still in the learning curve.  The videos and this Forum have helped greatly!
