Is there a way to password protect a Roots Magic file so I will be the only one who can open it? Thanks - Bill

I would like to attach a document which was scanned as a JPG to an individual who does not have a profile picture. RM6 seems to grab the first media image to use as an avatar. Is there a way to override this? Thanks - Bill

As a recent convert from Ancestral Quest, I'm still learning. Turns out I had a slight misunderstanding of "Roots Magic to Go". I'm actually looking for a way to provide my family members with a read-only copy of my records. I tried creating a CD with RM2Go which obviously does not work. I do not want to provide jump-drive copies because of the chance of accidental data corruption. Is there an option for read-only copies or plans for a similar feature? Thanks - Bill

I have a long history of family search media. From index cards to dBase to FTM to PAF to AQ14. I just bought an iPad and find the AQ GedStar interface to be clumsy so am thinking about converting to RootsMagic. I have already read some of the Dropbox cautions but am wondering if there is anything else I should be concerned with. I have the Essentials version of RootsMagic installed but will upgrade if all goes well. Thanks for any advice offered. - Bill
