Jennifer,
Out of nowhere my RootsMagic started doing the same thing. I have tried all of the "fixes" listed in this thread, but I still have a corrupted Rootsmagic.
I did notice that when I updated from 3.0 I got 3.2.2 instead of 3.2.3?
Also, it showed 5830.00 MB in control panel add/remove for RootsMagic. After deleting and reinstalling it is only 48.72 MB.
Anytime I try and use one of the menu options on top, it shuts RootsMagic down.
OK, folks, I think I found out my problem. After RootsMagic went bonkers I tried everything and eventually crashed the whole thing. In doing my diagnostics I discovered that one of my RAM modules had failed, and then my motherboard failed.
I'm now using a new motherboard and ram, and as far as I can tell there is no longer a problem. You might want to check your RAM module(s) for a failure.
I don't know, but my registry shows RootMagic as 490 mb versus 239 for Windows office?
