I have two files that I'm currently working with. One is a subset of a much larger file, but also contains a significant number of individuals who are not part of the larger file - building out lines I don't want in the large file. However, for the individuals that are the same between the files, when I add a new source citation to one file I also want it in the other file. I tried adding a new source citation to one file and then copying the individual over to the other file and then merging them, but the merged individual doesn't have the new citation in it. It also is apparently not possible to "memorize" the citation in one file and transfer it over to the other file. It there a way to accomplish what I'm trying to do here without having to enter the citation from scratch into both files?
