Would you put the scans of the enlistement cards under the source detail multimedia or the fact multimedia?

Are you talking about the items that are kind of grayed before you add the right information? I never leave them blank and do put the right military and naval population schedule information I type this in. Looks like the programmers forgot to change the suggested information. That is my take on this. :)

Nettie: I was talking about the description on the Select Source Type screen, before you actually select the template to enter data. :)

bienia: Thanks for the info!

Does it write that journal file to one of the standard temp directories?
You could always try cleaning out both of those and see what happens.

For example: I will not use the online suggested source for census records, I use the one that says filmed from NARA and then one Repository first one being NARA, second is ancestry.com or heritagequest.com telling where I got it from. Reason I do not use the online one, is that ancestry.com and others do not keep a static place/address on their servers for the digital document. [from the professional email discussion she has stated that she is working with ancestry.com to keep a static address for census records and other databases. not always possible in the big IT world]

Being in the IT field, I would think ancestry.com could easily keep the URLs in a standardized format with things like virtual directories, DFS/Namespaces, and the like. The real problem may be if they make it too standardized and simple, it would be easy for others to harvest all their images out of their website.

Has anyone else tried running RootsMagic-To-Go through Wine yet?

It tries to come up, but thinks that I do not have a licensed copy, so it refuses to run from the USB drive.
