Some suggestions

13 February 2017 - 08:34 PM

I'm Bishop in my ward, and I'm a user of RootsMagic since a long time ago, for me it's awesome, but working at this moment I want to make some suggestions that can make the life of some people, like mine for example, in their callings easier.

RM make possible to know which people needs ordinances, but there isn´t a way to filter those you need (ordinances), for example, right now we are preparing a temple trip with the young people, and as you know, they only can make baptisms and confirmations, so it could be of a great value to have a list of those persons who need these two ordinances, not everybody, or for example a trip with marriages to make sealings to spouses.

Sorry if there is a way to do it, please let me know, if not, take it as a suggestion to make a better program.

And the other is why isn't a option to let RM automatically update the ordinances that are ready in familysearch, you got the person matched, if there is a change in the ordinances of that individual the program can update autamically these changes, without you going to the person and selecting ordinances and clicking in copy to RM.

Just to help the people to work easily.

Thanks for your time and support, for sure is a great program, let´s make it better.

Another "Icon" for the new state of data in FamilySearch

05 January 2017 - 06:17 PM

Hi, as you know, in the past year FamilySearch had a new rule to do ordinances for the dead people. It needs to be older than 110 years or you need to be a direct descendant of the person. So the RootMagic program continue showing all the people who needs ordinances, including these I've just mentioned, with the Icon of the green temple, creating a lost of time when you are in the search of work to do in the temple.

My question is, is there a way to have a new "Icon" to differentiate those you can and those you can't do in the temple, but need ordinances?
