Yes!

Menu Bar > Edit multimedia (Camera icon) > Media Gallery > Tools > Fix broken media links

In the dropdown a good choice would be <A folder> and navigate to your new multimedia folder. If your new computer file structure is a duplicate of the previous machine then the rebuild of links should be relatively fast.

Jim

Thanks for the reply. I am using a high dpi monitor 4500 * 3000 and the recommended is 200%. At 100% magnifier required - 125% just about readable. Resized at 100% to postage stamp then back to 200% and with more shrinkage the kludge worked. I hope the resize is remembered on restarts etc!!

PC with Win10

People > People List > Tools > Relationship calculator

I have been able to click a Select person button but the People picker opens to a window occupying the full screen and more i.e. all controls are off screen and no way to resize. Fails and requires an ESC to exit - one for Test Feedback. Unless someone has a fix?

In Topic: Question regarding PLACE fields for GEDCOM experts here

Re.

Sorry for the generic question.  Preparing for RM8 and can't access v.7 (I use a Mac exclusively--have for over a decade).

There is a current wrapper for RM7 to be used with Big Sur MacOS 11.1 and that would be a good starting point. I am using Reunion 13 and have in the past moved a Reunion exported ged to RM, several years ago. It took some processing of the ged using regular expressions in a text editor but did work and my current RM 7.6.5 on both iMac and PC had its origins from that point. So, yes, possible but with some work required!

If you want EE compliant footnotes in RM7 then a custom template is a good starting point i.e. with nesting and logic statements. My advice would be to accept the existing limitations, get to grips with the specific differences RM vs. Reunion and then move on to the modified RM. RM8 could answer some of the issues but working with RM7 on your Mac is where to start. I recommend geneamusings.com and the Sample Source Citations tab as a good read.

Confirming:

Latest Big Sur 11.1 with RM 7.6.5.  installed OK as per support link - relinked media - so far, so good! Responsive but some lag resizing windows, as expected. Thanks and waiting for RM8.
