pdf files don't work on shareable CD

RootsMagic 3.2.2 now allows me to include pdf files under photos/multimedia. This works fine on my computer. But they are not readable on the shareable CD. The Document icon appears but the file cannot be displayed.

No matter whether I put them in a File or Photos subfolder they end up in the "pictures" subfolder on the CD, but cannot be displayed in the program. (The files are there and can be displayed directly in Adobe Reader - not conveniently!)

I just discovered this after burning a lot of CDs for distribution. This is not good. At least one would expect a warning.

A new shareable CD is created in the windows folder. I wish this folder could be changed, for example to the RootsReports folder. I keep such things in my data partition for good reasons, and prefer not to place large amounts of data into the operating system partition.

I also wish the title, name address, opening photo, and introductory paragraph would be saved so it didn't need to be reentered (only modified) for each new shareableCD.

Icons in upper left under task bar are too small.

The tiny (at least on my computer) icons in the upper left area just below the toolbar that are used to indicate the presence of notes, photos, etc. are very important and I use them all the time when moving about and exploring the tree.

They should be very prominent visually - at least as large as those on the task bar, or at least brighter. As it is now they are hardly visible, and it's a good thing my vision is OK.

This is one of the few human factors desigm problems in this excellent program.

I'll live with it I have to, but let's hope . . .
