Have you opened a problem report? I haven't seen you mentioned that. They don't necessarily read the forum for bugs. They get plenty that are reported.

Thanks Ken, I raised one last April but no response. Have raised another one just now.

Alfred, thanks, but I have 27 family branches on my website and don't want to have to use that method as very time consuming. The software should do it automatically.

Good to receive update 4.0.5 but my biggest problem still not sorted. When uploading to website a book narrative branch of my family database it does that successfully, but the GEDCOM is of the complete database still, even though all else is ok.

Is this going to be a high priority for the next update? Please, please!!!

In RM3 one could upload a Book Narrative of descendant of a highlighted person, together with the relevant GEDCOM. In RM4 one can still upload the book, but the GEDCOM is of the complete database. Is this going to be corrected in the next update?

Pleased to see many problems fixed in the update, but this problem was NOT fixed in this update. I do hope it is in the list of fixes in the not too distant next update - please?

As a matter of curiosity, have you considered going back to ver 3.2.6 until the "dust settles" and RM4 is useable without band-aid fixes or various other performance compromises?

Unfortunately, I made a host of updates to my database over several days before I noticed all the bugs, so it is too late to go back to 3.2.6 unless someone can tell me if the RM4 database can be read by RM3??

Like many others, I have RM3, and am on the verge of upgrading to RM4. However, the website creation is a very big deal for me, and could be a deal breaker.

My advice is "Don't do it!" - at least not yet. Wait until the next update when all the horrible bugs are removed (hopefully) from RM4, especially from the website creation section.

Two big problems with the website creation:
1. If you create, say, a book narrative of descendants from a particular person, the GEDCOM formed is of your complete database.
2. "Living" persons are blanked if they are single (even though you have selected for them to be marked "Living"). If they are married, they appear as "Living", until, that is, you click on them, then they disappear!
3. Lots of other bugs which I will not bother to list here.

I am annoyed that I didn't notice these bugs before I converted my database to RM4. I have the old RM3 database, but have made so many updates before uploading to the website that it is too late to go back to RM3.

I just hope that the next update will be made VERY soon.
