I'm experiencing the same problem too, but only when I use Internet Explorer 8. When I switched to Google Chrome (and probably Firefox) the text copied correctly. Internet Explorer also prevents me from saving jpeg documents from sites such as Ancestry direct to my disc too, whereas Chrome doesn't.

I reported a very similar problem last summer, where children were being attributed to the wrong set of parents, although the same data worked correctly in RM3.

I had a very speedy response which said that unfortunately it is a known issue in RM4. Until the charting programme is re-written in-house, the same problem will continue to replicated. Until those happy days, we'll just have to rearrange the boxes as TomH suggested below.

I thought I'd just add that I've run the exact same descendant report in RM3 and it works perfectly. There is little or no difference in the data between RM4 and RM3 as I've added very little to the RM4 database since, which makes me think there must be a significant difference in RM Reports.

I've also tested the same descendant report on other branches of the family, and still replicate the same type of errors in RM4. One common problem is that the lines linking siblings or spouses can be as many as 30 units apart on the chart, with no apparent reason. I've tried using the rest button to no avail. Have I missed some other setting option?
