I have been keeping hyperlinks to various messages on the boards so I can have easier access when I get around to look at and/or work with that subject in my tree.

Example:
URL: http://www.rootsmagi...?showtopic=6319 post #2
Reminder to myself: Hints for Military Draft Registrations

Is there an easy way to find the (most likely) new URL?

Good real estate may be based on location, location, location;
but
good sources are based on citation, citation, citation!

If the topic number doesn't change (and I'm not sure that it does), you may be in luck.

BTW (in case you did not know), in the upper right corner of each individual post... that little Post #2 is a link that can be clicked to open a pop-up window with the URL link directly to that post (within the thread). So, clicking on the #2 gives back this direct link for your above reference:

CODE
http://www.rootsmagic.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=6319&view=findpost&p=25408

Clickable sample below:

Thanks much for the BTW -- no, I didn't know, but now I do. The problem is "For how long?" laugh.gif

Well, this is one copied hyperlink that definitely won't change since the discussion is here in the new breakdown, RootsMagic Forums > Product Support Boards > RootsMagic 4 > Discussion

Thanks again,
Glenn
