Hi folks.

Does anyone know if Roots Magic is compatible with the Eee PC? I was thinking of buying an Eee 901 with Windows XP, but I'd want to run RM if at all possible. I'm quite happy to wait for RM4 if that helps (assuming it ever appears), although I'm currently on version 2.

I don't have first hand experience, but I don't see why RM wouldn't run on the Eee 901 with Windows XP.

RM runs under Windows Vista, XP, 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, and 2003

RM system requirements: 32MB RAM, 40MB hard drive space, CDROM drive.

I don't think I would want to run any large reports due to the speed of the computers processor.

You could run RM from a USB jump drive with the database and multimedia files on the same jump drive or on another jump drive if you didn't have space on the 901's hard drive.

You don't really have to have a CDRom drive as long as you have internet access to download RM, but could purchase an external CD drive.
