Hi, I was wondering if the record number that RM assigns to newly added people ever gets reused. For example, if I had 300 people in my database, and I deleted person 100, when I added my 301st person, would the program reuse the record number for person 100?

Don had the correct answer. But, the record number is kind of the drawer in your file that has your info (socks) in it. If you remove all your clothes out of your dresser and then put them back in, you will probably reuse that drawer. If you export all your files in your program to a GedCom file and then import them back into a NEW RM Database (AND if you don't tell RM to use the same record numbers) that number 301 drawer will get someone else's socks in it.
