What would be the quickest and most efficient way of doing this?

 

For one of my family, I have a number of web hints for Ancestry.  I am clicking on the leaf and I am then being presented with two boxes, one on the right, one on the left. There is a box to tick on the right hand side

This would be a new source/citation for me so it would be good to add this to my file.  Now, if I tick the right hand side to download the document, (which implies I have to), I can only add as a new name in RM, or update the existing name.  This is the only way I can see that RM then downloads the document.  However, as I know this is the same person, is there a simplistic way to download the document without having to tick a box?  I don't really want to update the record with a partial middle name or indeed create a new name.

Any document that I have found on ancestry.com or any other website, I have always downloaded to back up my statements in RM fact lists.  Most of the downloads want you to use .tif or   I use.jpg and have all the census downloaded, land records, marriage etc.  Been doing it since early 2000. Makes a nice attachment to RM files.

Tiff is a very poor file choice versus the standard jpg format.

 

for leaf hints, view the hints, view and download any image as a jpg and print to a pdf any transcript which will usually include the source citation information.
