In Roots 7 when I'm working on a family name, say Snyder, I'm always bounced to the top of My People list instead of keeping me on the family I'm working on when adding children. Will this be corrected in Roots 8?

Can you give more details on your issue. Step by step because I can't recreate this.

Easy way to show this.

 

Create a family name with 3 children, i.e., WEINGAERTNER. Now unlink these children. add these children to the Father by selecting existing person, look under Sir name select 1st child. When you look for the second and 3 third child, you are taken back to the top of the RM Explorer each time having to type in the Sir name again for each child name. If there were 12 children involved this would be time consuming.

 

I figure the Explorer should stay with the Sir name you are working on instead of retyping it over again.

 

Just lazy in my old age.

In RootsMagic Explorer, one MUST click the <Select> button while any child of a particular surname is highlighted, in order for RM Explorer to reopen at that surname

It's a new search each time you use Select Existing Person. That is why you are starting at the beginning of the list each time.
