I am running Rootmagic 7 from a USB stick and yesterday this error appeared when exiting - external exception c0000006.  I am then unable to close out Rootsmagic without shutting down the PC.  Anyone else have this or have a fix.

I've seen a similar error while using RM (not on USB). I used Windows Task Manager to stop RootsMagic ("end task") rather than shut down the entire computer.

From Microsoft "A C0000006 error is a networking or network connectivity error. Specifically, a C0000006 error is an in page I/O error. This error occurs when an application loses its underlying network connectivity."

 

Use Task Manager to close RM and then reboot to re-establish a new network connection.
