Here are screenshots posted by Bruce in the facebook group on colour coding in RM8. (See this discussion if you are a member).The number of different colours is to grow from 14 in RM7 to 27 in RM8. I wouldn't be able to discern the differences among many of them I suspect but it will empower some users beyond what they can do today.
I'm intrigued at it being 27... sounds like a possible shift from a numeric code to an alphabetical one, which, in the long run, might better support the assignment of multiple colour codes to a person. Imagine that bar on the left becoming a stacked column of, say, 4 possible colours.

I like the way the colors are handled, in RM7 if your eye sight is not good many of those colors are not easy to work with. Thanks for sharing the information. Tom.

Tom, Thanks for posting those images - those of us who avoid Facebook like the plague appreciate it.
One thing that struck me as odd is that the colours are generally on the left but on the right in the Info panel. At first glance, this seems rather inconsistent.
