I would like to see an Occupation List in RootsMagic so I don't have to re-type occupations like Agricultural Labourer and similar occupations over and over again (e.g. from census records).

The Place List and Fact List and Place Detail List are really useful, and an Occupation List would save considerable data entry time.

I have previously requested an Occupation report, with index, that could be included in Narratives and Publisher books.

I added an Fact called  Occupation and made a sentence to work with it.  I have doing the adding of a fact/event since Family Origins days.  I have several that I have added.  Like Specific types of schools, seminary/Medical/Law.  Also level of certification for a pastor/priest/lay person. Deacon and Elder.

The Place List works for events such as:

Civil War

WWI

WWII

Korean War

Then you can use Place Details for specific military units such as:

   63rd  Ohio Volunteer Infantry

   US Army

   US Coast Guard

Army Air Corp 8th Air Force, etc

But it would be nice to have an official data structure for events such as these in order not to clutter the real places with events.  For the Civil War, I have a large list of Place Details for various unit numbers.
