It would be great to optionally have a new name applied for each backup Currently I back up several times a day when I am using RM. When I do this, I have to manually increment the file name of the backup each time I backup more than once in a day. It would probably be very easy to allow that name to either automatically increment or to allow the date AND the time to be in the filename for the backup.

Mine have year month date on each back up all you would have to do it add a or b or c before ).

That is the point bdunn is making, he thinks it would be better if RM applies a different file name to every backup.

This can be easily solved by adding a HH:MM time stamp to the existing date. That way each backup is unique to the minute!

Here's an example of how a photography program that I use names files:

20181231124359.jpg

very easy to decode:

YYYYmmddhhmmss = year month day hour minute second

Legacy 9 already does this and it's very helpful. Each backup filename is appended by the Year-Month-Day-Hour-Minute-Second so the filenames for backups look like this:

"MASTER GEDCOM FROM RM-2019-01-20 1.36.27 PM.zip"

That would be awesome and probably simple to add to RM.

Thanks!
