I have several PDF files in my scanned docs folder which I would like to tag and associate with several people in my database.  For instance, I have a "group" labeled "U.S. Presidents".  I have a PDF file explaining the Presidential $1 coin series.  Is there a way to easy tag that PDF file to all individuals in the U.S. Presidents group?

No. It's one person at a time.

Of course, many things that RM does not do are possible using SQLite. Here's a script that copies a fact c/w its sources to a group:

Which do you think will happen first?

  • You will learn how to use SQLite.
  • RootsMagician will enhance RootsMagic to meet your wants.

Note that the CopyFact2Group.sql file was authored over 7 years and 7 months ago.

I will learn to use SQLite first!  I miss the good ole days with PAF with all the different 3rd party add-ons:

PAF Companion

PAF Date Scan

PAF Explorer

PAF Insight

PAF Media Packer

PAF Wiz

PAF Wiz2

plus a few others that I can't remember.

I love Roots Magic, but I do miss PAF.
