I've been having problems with Rootsmagic since updating to the latest build. When I try to close Rootsmagic (hitting the red X), the program freezes. I have to go into task manager to manually stop the process and close the program. This is a consistant issue. Happens everytime.

I'm running Win7.

Is this a known issue?

And is the last previous build still available? I would like to revert back to see if that solves the issue.

Thanks

Deck

I also running Win7 and RM 7.5.7.0 and I have no exit problems. I always use the Exit door icon, not the red [X]. Perhaps that matters, or maybe there's something else amiss in your overall setup.

When RM can't be closed, use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to close the program with your task manager,
Then go to C:\Users\ Dimension \AppData\ Roaming\ RM5\ RootsMagicUser.xml and delete the RootsMagicUser.xml file

Follow that path C:\Users\Dimension\AppData\Roaming
If you can not see the AppData then you need to unhide the files: Click on Organize button > select "Folder and Search Options" >click on Hidden files and folders

Change that to Show hidden files and folders and click on OK

Delete the RootsMagicUser.xml

A slightly quicker way to the Task Manager (in Windows) is Ctrl+Shift+Esc

Thank you all!

Seems that removing RootsMagicUser.xml and restarting (a couple times) has solved the issue.
