I am currently unable to sign into Ancestry using RM 7.5.6.0.  With my existing databases (500-1000 persons), I get "SQLite Error 1 - SqlDatabse: Cannot perform this operation on a closed database."

When I create a new empty database, the TreeShare window just stays open.  When I cancel pending operations, I don't see any new data.

Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Make sure your database is not being stored in any folder syncing to cloud storage, like Dropbox, GoogleDrive, OneDrive. If it is then move it from its current location into a folder not being synced.

Restart the computer. When you open RM using that existing database go to File>Database Tools and run everything in consecutive order. Now see if you can get into TreeShare and login.

I have not seen any word if Ancestry met its May 31, 2018 deadline for completing system enhancements. It is entirely possible they are working on small sections and that is where you are trying to connect into to. If its a new development today I would wait until later tonight to see if its resolved.

I use Backblaze to backup my whole computer.  I paused the backup for two hours, restarted my laptop, opened an existing database, ran all database tools in order, then tried to sign in to Ancestry using TreeShare. Nothing happens to the TreeShare window but the RM Index in the background starts to flash in about 1/2 second intervals as if it's trying to process individuals. RM freeze up at that time.
Before I was unable to sign in using TreeShare, I occasionally would have RM freeze up, with multiple SQLite Error mini-windows popping up. I'm wondering if RM is rewriting my database files on disk for each changed person.

Yes, RM writes every change to the database when a change is saved or event/fact is added. That is why it is recommended that you stop any automatic backups before making any changes in RM. It causes database contention which can lead to database errors and the database becoming unreadable and loss of all data.

If you have TreeShare set to automatic login and the Ancestry API is off line it will cause the index to flash. The other time if does that is if the password is bad. You can reset it by using the key command Ctrl+Shift+U in a main view. Select "Reset Program Settings" restart RM and it will be cleared.

Keep in mind it might just be the connection with Ancestry itself.
