Version 7.5.6.0: When I click on "Save to Dropbox for Apps" I get an error message saying "Could not bind socket. Address and port already in use." How can I fix this issue so that I can copy my file to Dropbox and then to my iPad?

MacOS? IF so, save to Dropbox is unsupported.

Suggest a reboot of Windows. Maybe a reboot of RM would suffice to clear the problem.

Thanks, but have rebooted everything at least twice and nothing seems to help. I suspect that it may have something to do with the fact that I mapped a drive in order to solve a network problem and I probably used an incorrect drive letter...

This has been reported before but I cannot remember what, if any, solution there was. It sounds as if RM is in conflict with another process for the same transmission protocol socket. RM might even be competing with itself.

I found that since RM v 7 changed how it works with drop box, i just copied my .rmgc file to the drop box folder and it reads it.  I first had to download the app, link it to drop box so it creates the /RootsMagic folder for me in dropbox I then copy the .rmgc file to the new drop box folder and then the app will work.  No longer can you use rootsmagic to do it for you.  It's all manual.

Not a MAC. Windows 10.

I am constantly trying to keep up with Win10 for my wife; she teaches sign language and uses powerpoint. After every update, I have to "fight-fires" to get everything proper again.

I use Win7PRO for RootsMajic and it performs beautifully. I'm not happy with Office 360 subscription, either, but Win10 requires it.

My RM7 will go to DropBox, but requires a login to DB each time; it saves to the folder created by RM7
