I have a number of places such as "Söderåkra, Kalmar Län, Sweden" and "Bösingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany", where the first few characters include a non-English letter.  When I'm filling in the place name and type "Sodera..." I don't pull up a match. I have to stop and say, "OK, le'me see. Small-O-umlaut, that's a, what? Oh. ALT-0246" Back up reenter "Söder...." and maybe if I'm lucky there's nothing else similar so I don't have to remember that "å" is ALT-0229.

It would be nice if RM would just take care of it and match accented characters with the non-accented latin versions on a US keyboard, when doing autofill.

Same problem here -- but nothing beats a little printed cheat sheet taped to the bottom edge of my monitor.

My cheat sheet is pretty long as it includes German, Swedish and Spanish special characters.
