Is there a way to edit the Occupation Field? Reason, when I imported from gedcom, My page numbers I was using from a book somehow ended in the Occupation Field.

Occupation is a fact type, with fields for:

   Date

   Place

   Place details

   Description

What is it that you are having trouble editing?

I’m trying change Pg to Page, through our the File and other short cuts with the longer description name. I thought I could do globally, ie, like in Place list under the Lists menu.

It sounds to me like you are talking about wanting to change text entered into the Occupation - Description field.

If that's true, then NO, there is no global Search & Replace for Fact Type - Description fields.

You could use Search>Find Everywhere to locate the text 'pg" you want to change. Then edit it from the links in the results.

Which is a one-by-one, manual edit, rather than a global search & replace. Works, but time consuming...

Back in the days of Windows 3.1, you could create a script to do the edit, then create a script to repeat the first script 50 times. I did a lot of bulk editing that way but, alas, no more.

RM could benefit from more comprehensive search & replace.

One can use a SQLite manager for edits of this sort that are beyond RM's capabilities.
