I wish that I could sort a Source List report by the Citation Detail. When I am reviewing my documentation, it would be very helpful to have the option to list by page number (which I put at the beginning of the Citation Detail for reference books). The example below indicates an encyclopedia, but it would be equally helpful when reviewing documentation from compilations of vital statistics, general history books, etc.

Currently there is only the default sort order, which seems to be Surname, Given of the tagged record.

[edit]

I came up with a workaround.

1 - Run the report as selected in the attached image.

2 - Save as a text file.

3 - Open in Notepad.

4 - Edit > Replace ". p" with "# p" case sensitive > [Replace All]

5 - Highlight all rows of data in the text file

6 - Copy & paste into an Excel column

7 - Data > Text to columns > set delimiter to "#" > [Finish]

8 - Data > Sort on column B then column A

Not quite automatic, but it does the job.
