HI,

I am interested in doing a report listing only those ancestors who were born in the 1600s.  I have quite a few people in my base and am reading a book called "Pioneers of Massuschuetts" which lists families that were around in the 1600s.   I would like to compare my file with those names.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dawn

Read Help on "Group". Create a named group of the people of interest. Many reports have a Select People control that includes named groups in its dropdown list.

Reports > Lists > Individual List > [Create Report]
People to include > Select from list
[Mark group] > Select people by data fields
Birth > date > is after > 1599
AND Birth > date > is before > 1701
AND Birth > place > contains > Massachusetts
[OK] wait for search to complete [OK] [OK]
[Generate Report]

Then save this report in your desired format
(I most often use Text for temporary reports like this, sometimes I use PDF)
