Here is another famous: How do I?

I have two sources, one called NEHGS and the other called NEHGS Other.

I assigned NEHGS as the master source when I created one citation, and later decided it should be NEHGS Other. So I changed the Master Source in the Citation Manager for that citation. Then, all the citations that used NEHGS changed to NEHGS Other. (Thankfully, less than 10 citations and I know which citations to worry about.)

Time for me to go fix this. How do you properly change a citation from one master source to another?

My Master Sources are all free form, not interested in templates.

Thanks!

I don't think you can transfer a citation from one master source to another in RootsMagic. You would have to create new citations of the target source and delete those they are to replace.

You could edit a GEDCOM or use SQLite to edit the database directly.
