I'm working on importing my "The Master Genealogist" (TMG) database into RM.

(RM v7.2.3, TMG v9.05)

I see that all of the "Name-Marr" tags in TMG are imported as "Alt Name" facts in RM. Great!

Problem is that the name type is not being set to "Married".

Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else tried to fix this?

Can it be fixed after the import with a clever SQL script?

I have found the same thing so I would say that you are not doing anything wrong.

I am raising a new topic to ask why the 'Name-Alt' fact is not in the Fact Type list

It should be an easy SQLite statement to set the Alt name type to "Married" where the wife alt surname matches the surname of one of the spouses.

Try 'Alternate Name'.
