Oh,

I´m a newbie- and I´m very sorry for this question, but after spending a very confronting morning with this question, I allow myself to bother you:

I made a familytree on my mac yesterday.

I managed to transported the file via dropbox to my iPad (not so easy a it sounds - and after spending hours to try with iTunes  )

I find the file on my iPad after download it from dropbox.

I can see it under "Devise", and it is asking me to "Choose a database", what I love to do.

If I choose the file, it says: " Database Loaded: XYZ .rmgc has been loaded as the primary database" - good news , I think.

BUT than it stops.

What do I have to doe next?

Please tell me in Babysteps!

And thanks thanks thanks for any help!

Your database (RMGC) file will be in the Dropbox\Apps\RootsMagic folder. Sounds like its in that spot since you see it.

What might be an issue is the database itself. Open the desktop version and go to File>Database Tools and run all options there in consecutive order. Then upload that cleaned database to the Dropbox folder. Now see if it will open for you.
