1. It will be released when ready and stable.

2. Development stopped for the Ancestry Sync programming. Development will start up again after the Ancestry Sync is released. No ETA on release.

3. We actually put the new release for the Mac out. It's only the CrossOver wrapper around the program so you won't see a new version number for RootsMagic on it. You need to completely uninstall RM for Mac first to remove the old wrapper. Then download RM for Mac again from the website to get the new wrapper version. Just applying an update won't fix the portion needed. That is why you need a complete uninstall. The only reason we didn't announce this is because everyone would panic thinking we just released the Ancestry Sync update.

Here are the steps for the complete uninstall.

Drag-and-drop the RootsMagic application icon to your trashbin.
In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder
Type "~/Library/Application Support"
Drag the folder labeled "RootsMagic" to the trashbin.

Now reinstall RM for Mac from a fresh download.

Renee;

what does the new crossover Mac version fix? Is this the Sierra hang issue or a general mix of minor fixes?

The new update 7.2.2.0 just released has the new CrossOver wrapper included. You only need to do the COMPLETE uninstall if you were experiencing any freezing issues running under Sierra. If you simply update within the program you will update the Rootsmagic version but not the CrossOver wrapper.

Here are the steps for the complete uninstall.

Drag-and-drop the RootsMagic application icon to your trashbin.
In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder
Type "~/Library/Application Support"
Drag the folder labeled "RootsMagic" to the trashbin.

I do recommend if you are a Mac user, and feel comfortable doing a complete uninstall, that you do so regardless of having freezing issues. Then you will be completely up-to-date with the Mac version.
