Not realizing there was a problem with the update for RM7 for the MAC, I jumped into the situation with both feet! And now, I'm trying to uninstall the mess which resulted.

I'm running Mac Sierra and am trying to uninstall the whole RM7, after Wineloader trashed my system. NOT a happy camper.

For now I will live without RM7 and go with Family Tree Builder until the MAC issues are cleared up.

This is my first post on the Forums.

Not sure what happened but here are the directions for a complete uninstall and reinstall.

Instructions to delete RootsMagic from the Mac.
Make sure you have a backup of any RM data files

- Delete any and all RootsMagic .dmg files from your computer

- Drag and drop the RM application icon to your trash bin

- In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder

- Type ~/Library/Application Support

- Drag the folder labeled "RootsMagic" to the trash bin
After going to  ~/Library/Application Support and deleting the RootsMagic folder go back to ~/Library and change it to ~/Library/Preferences and delete the file   com.rootsmagic.rootsmagic.plist
That will completely uninstall RM7 "and" the Crossover programming as well.

After deleting the RootsMagic Program onto your Mac, you can reinstall it. I recommend going to this webpage, http://rootsmagic.com/guides/ andusing Magic Guide #5, "Downloading and Installing RootsMagic for Mac" to help you download and install the program.

I'm using RM 7.0.1 on Yosemite (not able to upgrade to the newest OS because I have expensive legacy software which might be lost in the upgrade). RM does not run as well as I'd like--it freezes up.

Please give us an update on progress with the native Mac version?

TreeShare form Ancestry works fine with RM7.5.2 for the Mac. Letting it run the first time to sync will try your patience, but just let it run overnight and a day...
