Of course, I'm not making this a comparison of FamilySearch and Ancestry (I'm a member of both), but I'm constantly running up against family trees in Ancestry that are "private." That means that I have to independently re-source those persons common to my tree, no matter how significant they are to my tree. I found (not that I'm an enormous user of genealogy) that when resources are private in that way, then messaging the owner is not very fruitful.

What I thought I would get with Rootsmagic is a way to duplicate the 1,000's of persons I'm responsible for in FamilySearch. That doesn't seem to  be completely possible.

Hmm.. so how come before this fix I could export e57 to the same directory that now throws an exception? Also I can no longer open files from it, previously there was no problem whether it was from file->open or drag&drop. Is this a trade-off situation, you can export or open but not both =

I'm really not following this, I think I got lost at e57.
