Won't add date to backup or open recents

I reinstalled RM7 for Mac this afternoon and still have trouble with backups. I have checked the "add date to backup file name" under Tools, Program Options. I reopened, then closed a file using the Backup under File,, but it won't add a date.


Also, I can't open files from within RM. I go to Open Recent, but when I click on a file, it won't open. I tried using the Open dialogue box, but the rmgc files are greyed out. FInally, I had to close my current file, then physically go to my RootsMagic folder on my desktop and double click another file to open it.


Something is very strange with RM7 for Mac! Any ideas what I should do? Of course it's too late to talk with support - they  are already closed for the day.

It sounds like you've been having some odd issues. Would you be able to call into support to have them remotely view your computer?
