Hello,
I have had a problem downloading items for about 3 months now. (I wrote this because I'm not blaming RootsMagic).
I bought RM7 with CD. Then I found out my Family Atlas was outdated and the update was free. I clicked to download and the large gray box came up:
You have chosen to open:
Family/AtlasUpdate.exe
which is a Binary File (2.9 MB)
from: Http://FilesRoots, etc. etc.
What should Firefox do with this file?
FLASHGOT (choice in box: Browser Built in (other option: pyLoad) - I have no idea what any of this means!
SAVE FILE
When I click to save the file, I can no longer find it in the Downloads folder.
I know this is not an Internet 101 forum but I would appreciate some help!
I use Vista SP2 (yes, still Vista!) on a Dell XPS 420 (yes, it's that old!) desktop with 4.00 GM RAM, 32-bit Operating System
MY QUESTIONS:
1. How do I change FLASHGOT back to the normal option?
2. With the Save File: How do I change it back to have items download to the Downloads folder?
I've googled but I must be googling the wrong thing!
Thank you so much!
