Here is an example where the godfather's profile gets pulled into the person's profile.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?  I tried unchecking Extra Details (RM specific) but the shared content still went into the exported GEDCOM.  There does not seem to be a way to stop the sharing from the Edit Fact List menu.

Another oddity is a double "of" for (cause of) death descriptions.

I was able to fix the issue by editing the GEDCOM to eliminate the _SHAR lines but that is not a convenient way to deal with this.

The original view of the flawed page is here:

It would still be helpful to know how to keep the shared facts out of the GEDCOM export.  Thanks

Looks like you really want to investigate the <Advanced> button on this page:

http://helpdesk.root.../wcsubmit8.html

The advanced user setup/edit form gives you a multitude of ways to protect the privacy of the living in your file. Included are the choices to treat tags as notes

or to remove specific tags. <-----------------

You will find a listing of common tags here.

Thanks very much.  Living Person Options is not an obvious place to look for that.  I appreciate the help!

This is a side-effect of RootsMagic's shared events. You can avoid it by not using shared events.

If the destination cannot handle shared events, this utility could help http://sqlitetoolsfo...d to Individual
