I was using Crossover until RootsMagic 7 allowed me to use the program on my iMac without the Crossover software.

I have two family trees on RootsMagic.  One I work on all the time.  The other tree, I hadn't worked on in ages, ...until last night.

Last night when I tried to Save and Exit, it wouldn't let me save or exit.  Turns out the program is still in Crossover, because the File Name is:   C:\users\crossover\mydocuments\myfamily.rmgc

I had to hit the Off Button in order to shut the computer down.

Can you tell me how to bring this file over, so that it works on my iMac?

I am using:

iMac with OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.5

RootsMagic 7

Thank you.

You could use the Search Box in the Mac's File Manager (Finder app) to locate the file and then copy and paste the file to wherever you want it to be.

Note: You could 'cut and paste', but copy and paste means you've still got the original as a backup until you've verified that everything is OK.
