I have some people in my tree whose parents got divorced and remarried and were known under two names:  their birth surname and then their adopted surname.  Can this be shown?  If so, how?

Enter one of the names in an Alternate name fact.

I would enter the birth name as the name and the adopted name as the Alternate name amd enter a date for when the person started using the adopted name.

If the person was legally adopted by the stepparent, I would also link the Adoption fact.
