When I access a source from a fact entry the media shows up.  When I access a source from the Master Source list the media is missing, though all other info is there.

Make sure you are adding the media to the correct location. The media icon on the fact will only show the media attached to that fact. It will not show media that is attached to the source. When you are on the Edit Source screen the media tab there is the location you add the media that belongs to it.

I see now you are looking at the Master Source list. Make sure the media is attached to the Source and not the Citation. Check what setting you have under the Media Tag for the Tag Type. The Master Source List is not going to show any Media attached on the Citation level. Any photos added on that Source level will be showing with all usage of that Master Source.

Thanks.  I think that makes sense.  I have to work on this when I have some quiet time to concentrate.
