In a source/citation field field which is defined as a Name field, if a woman's maiden name is included in parentheses, RM is adding an extra space in the associated endnote before the parentheses.

Sarah _(Smith) Jones, History of York County . . .

There is an extra space where I've placed an underline.

You should probably identify which template you've used that caused the problem.

I've tried a few different source templates, both standard and custom and the extra space occurs in both.  Renee, can you add this to the list to fix?

Thanks,

Jeff

It would be helpful to point me to a template to see this. I haven't seen it in the ones I am using.

The issue seems to be that what you see in your source citation screen as to how the footnote should be shown is NOT what happens when you try to print a report!  Yikes!

The issue is explained in more detail in my post in this forum "Maiden name parentheses being change to quotations marks" posted today.

Johnson, Jane  "Smith". Book Title. N.p.: n.p., n.d..
Johnson, Jane "Smith". Book Title. N.p.: n.p., n.d..

Template: Book, Basic

Applies to any name-type field in a source, not just this particular template and has been reported repeatedly by Jerry Bryan et al.
