Any ideas on how to export information from roots to an excel spreadsheet.   I'd like to create a spreadsheet to carry in a small notebook.  I'd like to include Lname, FName, ID #, DOB/Place, Date of Marriage/Place, DOD/Place, DOB/Place, Spouse LName, Spouse FN.

ame, ID #, Notes.  Then I could keep notebook in car or throw in a suit case. There are days when I don't have my laptop with me but I am close to a place where I can look at a microfiche, and I always have a thumb drive and a camera with me

You want to learn to create a Custom Report. Go to http://www.rootsmagic.com/Webinars/ for some help on learning to do this.

Why not use Rootsmagic to Go
