I have created a family tree website and am able to view it.   However, if anyone else goes to the site it is 'forbidden'.   I checked my settings and it is NOT set to private.

The site is:  http://sites.rootsma...RockemanHansen/

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Annette

It opened fine for me, Annette. Using Google Chrome on Windows 7.

Thank you.  Perhaps my men typed something wrong.  Thank you for your help - or just trying the link as the case may be. ;)

I have almost the same problem.  I created two web sites in RootsMagic 6.  I transferred them to RootsMagic 7 and everything worked fine.  I am now having difficulty refreshing both of them.  I can view them from RootsMagic, but when I try to view them from Firefox 35.0.1 or IE 11.0.16 I get a 403 Forbidden message.  What am I doing wrong?

Once you transfer the RM6 website to RM7 you will need to delete them in order to update them. Basically you saved the website name, but you need to generate the website in the RM7 style in order to update it. Once you have done that you can use the republish feature to just update your database stored there.

Also check what URL you are using.

RM6 - http://my.rootsmagic.com/username/

RM7 - http://sites.rootsma...om/websitename/

Thank you, Renee.  I had done everything correctly, but was using the wrong URL.  Guess I'd better go back and read the instructions!
