I have just been looking at the facility to clean the data having recently imported from TMG. As a trial I had a look at the NameClean facility and tested "Wife shares husband's name". This has brought up a list of names, mainly surnames, many of which are repeated with the exception that all are followed by a different number. As far as I can see there is no way of examining the persons record directly from the DataClean screen so I have exited and the searched the Record Number using RootsmMagic Explorer. However this brings up a completely different name so I cannot decide whether the change is needed or not.

Being a newbie am I doing something wrong?

The program is listing the wrong number after the name in the Data Clean user interface. It is not the RIN of the person named, rather it is one of the person's NameIDs from the NameTable.
