The RM iPad App does not work with a RM3 database, that is because it takes 36+ files to make a complete database. You need to download the RootsMagic Essentials 6 and import your RM3 database into it, then move the RMGC file to Dropbox to upload to your iPad.

I have a question - I successfully copied my RM6 database to Dropbox and was able to bring up into my IPad mini (OS Ver 7), however, I am not able to edit the data. Is the IPad version only a view only?? Thanks

Yes, install RM6 Essentials and Import your RM3 database into it to get the right database file (RMGC) to upload to the app.

After you read this I will be moving this thread to the correct RootsMagic forum for the iPad app.
