How do I generate a report with the names of selected ancestors with their birth or death information along with the associated source citation?

Thanks for any help.

It can be done, not easily. In Lists > Fact Type List, edit every fact type and uncheck Individual Summaries under Include when:, except leave it checked for Birth and Death. Create a Named Group comprising the selected ancestors. Then run Reports > Individual Summary selecting your named group under People to include. Under Source settings, check endnotes or footnotes. Every person will start a new page; if you want to conserve white space, save to RTF and use Word to search and replace the new page control codes.

Edit: unfortunately, RootsMagic does not make it easy to preserve these settings for later recall because you will want to output all facts for Individual Summaries for other purposes. Custom Reports and Pedigree Chart do not output any sources so they are not an option. (Legacy 8 Preview shows citations on Pedigree Chart).

Another thought then is export to some other software that outputs a report that suits your purpose.
